How can I activate or deactivate the general answering machine?

You can activate and deactivate the general answering machine under “Numbering and incoming config”, select the setting you want to change and click on Configure > General answering machine ✉.

You should indicate an email address in which to receive the messages from the answering machine and which users will have access to the general answering machine to consult the messages.

If you activate it, the answering machine will jump when a call is not answered either because all the users are busy or because it is out of hours or on a holiday.
