How can I configure the service locutions?

PBX Control panel (admin)

In the “Numbering and incoming config” section, when you click on “Configure” of the configuration you wish to change, you will find the various locutions used in the telephone service.

You can set up the following locutions in their respective sections:

General Tab

  • Welcome locution: this is the first voice played when someone calls one of the company's general numbers (not with users' personal numbers).
  • Play music on incoming calls > Music on hold: this is the music that the caller will listen to while waiting to be answered or while being transferred to another user. If you deactivate it, a ring tone will be played.
  • Busy locution: this is the voice that is played when a call cannot be answered because all users are busy and the maximum waiting time has elapsed.

Schedules tab

  • Out of business hours locution: played when calling after hours.
  • Holiday locution: it is played when you call on a holiday. You can define a phrase for all holidays, you can also individually indicate the phrase that will be played for that particular holiday.
  • Vacation locution: it is played when you call within a date range marked as a vacation. You can define a voice-over for all vacations, you can also individually indicate the voice-over that will play for each range of holidays.

General voicemail tab

  • Voicemail locution: if the general answering machine is activated, this is the message played to the caller indicating that he/she can leave a message on the answering machine.

Ring groups tab

  • Announce locution: if activated, while a caller is waiting to be answered, it will be played indicating that the caller is waiting to be answered.

All locutions can be turned on and off, chosen from predefined ones or you can upload or record your own locutions.
